I've struggled with this since the day my wife made Gold. After discussing with a helpful AC agent, I now never enter her FF information into the reservation. Upgrades for both of us and correct ordering of the list at check in is now much more common.
Last night at LGA, I was not added to the airport list at check-in. AC added me and my LT Plat companion. I was #2 and he fell to #19. F was full so we left it as is. However, as delays set in, F cabin emptied out and AC agent took the time to attach him to me. Companion instantly moves from 19 to #3 and we both cleared.

They did not change the list for me or the other EXP.
This is nonsense. Agent should have corrected the list.
