I first flew when I used to fly to India on Air India on flights that seemed interminable and were full to the brim. That didn't enamor me to flying. I then started flying again on my own back when companies were desperate for people (ie dot com boom) and I was flying all around the country for interviews. I then realized that I could get companies to subsidize the habit and end up in places like Sydney, Hawaii, etc on their dime, and I've been hooked ever since.

Now that I have over 2 million miles on various airlines in three years, I've cut down a lot so I can actually burn rather than earn, but the results can not be denied -- first or biz tickets to exotic destinations after way too many trips to Poughkeepsie to count...
