Also, add in the letter/email to your political representative that if TSA were trained properly in the use of the screening machines, the need for opening cases would be moot. Unless, of course, there is a real need to get into luggage.

If no chemical is present, why is there a need to open (let's say) a golf club case? TSA might be better than the private security in the past but I am beginning to wonder about this.
