Just walk into any air India booking office and it should be done easily as said by another FT member it always better to go with exact flight ( I did the same) what you need the booking for. I could book business class ticke DEL-FRA-YYZ on lufthansa within 10 minutes using my air India miles and it was just like a cake walk
