Just bumping this back as we've pretty much decided not to go into the city during our layover.
We are due to arrive at ARN at approx 14:50 on 23/1 & as I understand it, we won't be able to check in for our QR flight until 18:25. We will likely need to eat/drink something whilst we wait so wondering if we should get local currency (we also have approx 4 hours wait in the return leg) to pay for food or should we not bother & use UK debit cards?
Also, is there a smoking lounge inside the terminal or does the smoker need to go outside?

I cannot remember if there are smoking lounges inside but not airside, there certainly are smoking lounges airside anyway.
I wouldn't bother with local currency, any store would accept at a minimum any VISA or MasterCard in the world, and for Arlanda probably any AmEx or Diners, too. I think the food is quite boring airside, a bit better in SkyCity but still not really exiting. But that's for you to decide.
