The whole premise is hilarious, as if LV would need to offer miles to induce shopping (or if your typical LV shopper even cares about miles).

That being said, I was surprised to read of lower prices in Europe ^ - generally I expect the opposite but perhaps demand is not as strong there. Good to know as Mrs. B is unfortunately in the market for a purse and we will be traveling to Europe soon...

Ummm, I think $300 is significant to most of us here - even those price insensitive LV shoppers will appreciate that it buys a couple of nice dinners in SF/LA (maybe even NYC) after their shopping is done.
As others have noted, the credit pulls have a rather insignificant effect on your score (maybe 5-10 points) which is quickly recovered. So really only of concern to those on the margins who are applying for a mortgage or refi.
