Before I recently turned twenty-one, I was only denied service once (on an ATL-SEA flight). Most FAs do not care, and it is unclear whether it's actually illegal to be served as an under-21 once in the air (since there is technically no federal drinking age, and the states don't have jurisdiction over national airspace).
