It's really odd. Just landed from Switzerland at terminal 2F, but on the western concourse. No passport control there. It seems they only do the passport controls using the booths for flights arriving the Eastern concourse, which used to be the non-Schengen one until some time ago, which is also why we still have the passport control booths there.
Not that odd if you think about the propensity of our politicians to pretend they are acting on problems when they actually only care about staying in place.
They do not have the manpower to conduct id checks everywhere.
So they order checks where they can easily be performed.
This way le bon peuple believes the state is acting for the common good.
