That is extremely useful!
Reason I think about retaining CX DM is regional flights that in most cases I will continue taking (what alternatives to MNL, PNH, even BKK in terms of frequency etc!). Most long-haul would be QR or JL so impact probably not that bad but this might be an interim step.
