Thinking about leaving CX
So I have passed the million miles threshold last week flying from MXP (in J).
No acknowledgement of any kind anywhere.
I remember being upgraded for 500K and even 750K and upgrade aside at least a "thank you" would have been nice.
If this is how CX cares about premium passengers (I renew DM every 8 months and am/was one of the DM who did not think of jumping with new system as it does not affect me) I can just imagine they have decided to become an American Airline.
I live in HK so have considered myself captive but am now strongly considering shifting to SQ for intercontinental flights and shop around for regional ones.
Would have never thought about that 6 months ago but this is just the last of many small and not so small issues with CX lately (including discovering they had removed miles from my account without notifying me at all - miles had been accredited by mistake and I noticed them on statement but fact CX can just take them away without informing was upsetting. After I complained they started notifying DMs. I even got phone calls from management on that issue so they must have taken it seriously).
I am generally happy with on board service but ground staff is now a frequent source of disappointment.
So if there are DMs who are asking for status matches with SQ etc let me know. I can get status through J the hard way but access to best lounges and priority is a good perk to have in general.
