I think your bag is cursed if this bag keeps going missing though
It doesn't matter - Worldtracer has a bag description, and the ground agents encounter this situation often (name on tag not the same as name on bag itself). You must be sure to give an accurate description of the bag though!
Indeed, lots of airlines (if not all) put under one pax when a same family is obviously travelling together. This is not a EK specialty.
Now, concerning the delayed baggage ... hum ... Be brave.
I can tell you two of my experiences :
1/ Delayed baggage at out-station due to short connection. My assistant had to harass EK (no exaggeration) just to be informed. The day after, my baggage landed (obviously, it didn't take the next flight ...), but EK couldn't say when it would be delivered ... So, I had it delivered at the hotel ... At the end, EK gave me 50 EUR ! ! ! (it would have been lower if flying Y). Not enough to buy a new set of clothes and underwear ...
2/ Mistaken baggage at out-station. My baggage was taken by someone else. It became quite obvious when the only left baggage was exactly the same as mine. I filed a lost baggage file, informing them of the coincidence. Again, calls to EK. No information, no cooperation, absolutely no will to solve the issue. As I had taken a photo of the left-baggage tag, I entered into his reservation, checked his tel number and called him. He had indeed taken my baggage and (to make it short) kindly returned it to me in person.
Sorry OP. Take your matters into your own hands. Harass EK. Make noise.
