777 refurb have the same system as the 789. the 788 system lacks things like the 3d views, HUD etc.

Edited to add: I'm fairly certain the underlying hardware is different, and not just the software. I'm fairly certain the refurbed 777 and the 789 have the Panasonic EX3 system and the 788 the EX2 system.
