For example after Feb 1 2016 a KLMNSV fare on BA will earn 50% base miles. And 0.5 EQM per mile flown...so a 2000 mile sector is 1000 base miles earning 500 EQM? or 1000 EQM? Just don't understand what the 'elite qualifying' in parentheses mean next to 'Base Miles' for partners, when there is a separate 'EQM per mile flown' on the very right.
I had this same question. I was looking, for example, at the Deep Discount on BA. It has
25% Base Miles (Elite Qualifying)
0.5 EQM per mile flown.
So, it's either EQM = 0.5 * number of actual flown miles (and the Base Miles column has no meaning)
or it's EQM = 0.25 * 0.5 (=0.125) * actual number of miles flown.
Definitely not clear.
Cheers.
