CX should adjust their loyalty program to what works best for them. However, I cannot help but be a little saddened that after being a DM for since 2008, there seems to be so little considerations CX have put in to retain the DM members. CX seems to be out to weed out what they considered to be unworthy DM members who are not flying regular long haul F.
Their ears have been chew long enough by F/J flyers complaining about "Econ DMs" getting their benefits and it's "not fair". We'll see how CX feels like what's fair or not when they lose a big revenue stream. CI made that mistake a few years ago when they tried to make top tiers F/C flights only and Y fliers can only make the bottom 2 tiers, guess what happened? Mass exodus (ironically to CX) and CI revert back to old system, too late.
