I did this toggle back and forth by clicking "continue" multiple times. I am in flight booking purgatory of some sort. Anyone know what is going and, more importantly, how to get past this point in the booking? Argh!
I've had this problem occur multiple times in the past. It's a bug in AA's site -- usually indicates some kind of invalid fare, or an unusually low price that was not intended.

Workarounds: sometimes the itinerary will worrk on different dates (I presume this indicaates some fare buckets in the original itinerary are sold out). Or you can try booking on one of the OTAs like Orbitz. Itinerary MAY be bookable there, at least sometimes.

I have called AA reservations when this bug occurs and the fare seems legitimate (i.e. NOT a mistake fare). Typically the agent is not able to book the itinerary either, or cannot see it at all. Also have called AA's web support; typically they may be able to duplicate the error, but then tell me it is not a legitimate fare.
