How many applications can I make at once without incurring a high risk of shutdowns?
I have three cards currently, 2 inquiries in the past year, FICO scores of about 760. Some people/resources advocate applying for many cards at once. Some people report success applying for 10+ cards at once, and some older guides suggest to apply for tons of cards at once (like the one churning guide that calls for 1 personal and 1 business per bank).
But then there is talk of greater scrutiny by the banks, especially by Chase. There is talk of chase cc/bank accounts being shutdown. What is the current consensus regarding how many apps it is safe to make at once? If I apply for the Chase cards first, will Chase find out about the later applications?
