Hi All
So stayed here recently for one night. Was meant to stay at the Hampton Warsaw.
It was around £60 for one night, the Hilton Warsaw, one of the best, was £200, we were meeting my Uncle who driving a car back from Russia, and I was taken over from Warsaw.
By chance the day before I checked prices again and saw the Doubletree was same as Hampton at £60, now with pool, lounge and free cookies, and it was off the main road meaning no driving to city centre, it was booked.
I went ahead, a short 20 minute taxi ride from the central station, cost £10. Be warned there is nothing around, you feel in middle of no where, I am not even sure you could get a bus there! The nearest shop is a 10 minute walk to the Statoil garage.
What surprised me the most was to find the Polish National Security Forum on

The place was full of secret men with ear pieces, guarding doors, rooms, and event the grounds, felt like a movie scene. I was surprised I could get rooms at such a late stage.
I arrived at 1300, to be told check in is at 1500, once they saw I was diamond, I had to tell them, as they did no ask my name or details, they gave me access to lounge. Great lounge, here are some photos. Good spread in afternoon, and in evening there was spirits, sparkling wine, beers, and wine. Cold snacks, cheese and 3 hot items. Did not go for breakfast. One normal PC and one Mac, outside terrace which would be nice in summer
After a short time room was ready. First rooms was interconnecting, my pet hate

Back to reception and this was quickly sorted for a room at end corridor. Top floor (4), HH flooor. The first room was allocated as it had a terrace but given it was grey and cold, was no real use. Room is well appointed with skylight, and windows that open! Good selection T/C. Good size bathroom with shower and bath. Nice rooms and style
SPA
No pictures, but by far the best gym and pool in any Hilton. Good size gym with mix of kit. We went at 1700 peak time but was quiet. There is general sauna and steam. Large pool and kids pool. Then the secret door, you needa special key for that. I went to reception and they wanted to charge me, but girl at check in told me access was free, I never got anything on the bill. Anyway behind the door is very quiet area, with another sauna with herbs and brine steam with jacuzzi and relaxation chairs very nice.
Dinner
Given nothing else around we headed to restaurant. There was buffet £20, it was okay. Main menu is pretty poor and staff are not the best, seem uninterested. Not very good
Breakfast
Excellent, great spread and eggs cooked to order
Parking
Main car park was closed because of security and no signs where to go. We followed taxis and there is small roundabout after main hotel, you go into car park there. It seems to be open general car park, no barriers etc. Therefore it is free ^
In general a great hotel, just shame it is away from city and not so much transport to city.
