I was not able to rebook outside of LH group for Bogota to Frankfurt on Thursday night, even though there are no other LH group airlines flying to Bogota. They said the flight has to be cancelled. Had the same cancellation last month. Best you can do is the Avianca flight to MAD and then onto destination.
Whatever to avoid a US connection was fine to me.
LH call center utterly useless and with the 'take it or leave it' attitude.
But at least managed to talk with someone.
Yesterday after hours on hold at the German and Italian call centers I gave up and sorted it out at WAW with the help of an efficient Polish agent. Rebooked on AZ to NAP via FCO.
