Using corporate rates at Hotels

I remember making reservations for certain hotel chains online and selecting the "corporate" rate instead of the regular rate.

When checking in or out of the hotel, I was never asked for any "corporate" identification.

Does anyone know which hotel chains are more strict and which ones are more lenient on their customers using the corporate rates?

Anyone been declined a corporate rate and asked to pay the "rack rate" at check out?
