So now the status is On Request, however, it also says "Please call to book your trip".
I caught this before the agent hung up, she says not to worry. I'm not so sure about that, so I call Web Services, who also tells me "it's the new interface" (which I conveyed to the rep is really bad and lack info we used to have). The rep did also check with Reservations, who again said it's just in the queue.
So why have that message there if it is not actually necessary to call? Has anybody encountered this with this new and unimproved interface?
You know, I am just coming into this problem today, but since it took me a while to get the award booking sorted out (with partner airline), I want to give it at least 24 hours to make sure it resolves itself. And then I'll call in. My flight isn't until next year but I need to finalize flights as this is a connecting flight.
The thing that's weird:
On the AA PNR, I get the ticket pending status. I see the "Please call to book your trip message".
Email receipt not yet received.
Credit card not charged.
Miles not taken out.
On the partner's PNR, I see the passengers and a confirmed status.

I am hoping it's just AA waiting to get the confirm status from partner airline, and it'll all just resolve itself in the next day or so, but I suspect that I'll probably have to call in.
