Just tried using AP to purchase a treadmill at sears but they didn't have the apple pay scanner set up so I swiped my card. I called in and let them know so they could update how I made the payment and was transferred to a supervisor who then told me because they hadn't turned it on in store yet that I was not eligible and was only eligible for the 5% 4Q promo. He said it would have been different if there was an issue with the transaction, but wasn't there? Does this sound correct or should I call back and see if I can update the transaction still?
How is it Discover's fault that Sears did not have the setup to process your payment?
