Also the "Validity of your status:..." date will always be the end of the month regardless of your actual renewal date which could be earlier in the month. I assume that is to give them enough time to send you a replacement card for the following year.
For me the important question, which so far has not been answered by anyone, is: does the requalification period really start exactly on the day you reach platinum status, or does this period only start on the first of the next month, as the end date on my card and in my profile (31 DEC 2015) seems to suggest.
The reason that this is not trivial for me is that I collected more than 25,000 points between the 8th of December 2014 (the day after I reached platinum) and the 31st of December 2014. However I collected less than 25,000 points so far in the calendar year 2015, so if those points which I collected in December do NOT count then I still need some more points to requalify.
