Generally speaking, I use miles to upgrade to FC. In short, it seems best to slap all business and personal miles on that one can. I need all possible in order to maintain platinum status.

Hence, with platinum I generally get comped to FC. In addition, a 125% bonus too! Best way to keep racking up those miles.
