How big of an SSD do you need?

Also...your data on the "bad" SSD might still be recoverable. When you get a new 'puter, you might be able to place your "bad" SSD into a USB housing and use software like Recuva (free) or DataRescue ($100) to recover files and/or repair the disk so it works again.
