My parents can act on my behalf, not people posing to be my parents 2,500 miles away from me in LAX. I will ask DL to positively identify my parents, but my parents are not the issue here and DL knows that my parents aren't cancelling the tickets overnight. This is why I added the passcode.

Is there a way to further protect my SM account and reservations from identity theft and fraud?

It's a very unusual situation being 16 and a PM (7,000 MQMs away from DM) at Delta. I hope there is a custom way that Delta can protect this account. I might try contacting corporate security.
