While it's hard to argue with your statement, I can't help but point out Japan Airlines' Mileage Bank's award between Japan and North America in all 3 classes have not devalued in the last 25 years. It has always been 110,000 miles to fly JL F to/from Japan and USA in 1990 and that is still true in 2015.
