On a more serious note, yes, of course, they don't even need to use the IT system - I was talking to someone at EK the other day about a pax who had bought a full F ticket who no showed at the gate after using the lounge, DXB called the station to ask what was going on because he had called in to change the ticket, as the flight on the ground with doors closed. They found the pax, who said his plans had changed, but he refused to tell staff whether he was going to catch another flight or needed to go back landside. Ok, no problem - DXB are still asking what's going on, so station staff just have a chat with immigration/passport control who find out that he passed through immigration with a boarding pass for another airline that happened to have a flight departing at around the same time (he had bought a full F just for lounge access it seems).
Moral of the story - there are always ways of finding things out at airports that don't need EKs IT systems to be functional

m3red: I think the OP has already decided not to give any further business to EK - that should have another department investigating as to why an iO is no longer spending/flying...! Something is not quite right, somewhere...
