Just curious. Lots of discussion these past few weeks of bumping strategies in the ever present quest for $$ and FF miles. Since so many of us were traveling this weekend, I wonder how many of us actually got bumped (either voluntarily or involuntarily)?

Myself, on four flights last week, with two on the day before turkey day, no bumps However, on tuesday while I was at SJC, AA was offering $500 for volunteers on the SJC-SAN to take a later connecting flight through LAX.

This morning, AA is oversold on the 8:00 a.m. LAX-SJC flight and is so far offering $200 to take the 9:50 a.m. flight. The 6:00 a.m. went off without a hitch.

So far in my turkey day travels, not many bumping opportunities.
