Some people may prefer Citi or Barclays customer service and occasional spending bonus offers, but this is a subjective choice. That said, the Aviator cards can no longer be applied for, so if you can't cancel it, you can't get another.
I currently have 2 Aviator Reds and one each of the AA Visa and Amex.
At this point,I plan to hold on to all of them as long as I can. So far I have been lucky to have the AF waived or credited for each,so I am in no rush to choose. Hopefully it stays that way for some time.
I don't put my AA spend on any of the cards-I have enough miles for now and prefer cash back(Costco card-for a bit longer) and Sapphire Preferred for UR points. What works for me may not be best for you.
If and when I am forced to choose, I will keep the Barclays cards as long as they exist.
