Read the master thread. Lots of Plats get suites there. And even if I'd only gotten a Grand Deluxe room upgrade, which is what I was initially upgraded to online a couple days before the stay, that would have put me up to over 5.5 cents per point.
I've stayed at about a hundred or so different SPG hotels. If you read Flyertalk and contribute you should know what to expect even with your first visit to a hotel.
