That's probably the biggest tangible benefit for you. It would take 20-30 minutes to get back to your room at the Hilton/Sheraton/etc., compared with about two at Mira Costa.
Multiply that x 4 if he plans to go back to the park during the evening.
Hilton: 20 minutes to get into park in morning, 20 minutes to go back to hotel in afternoon, 20 minutes to go back to park in evening, 20 minutes to go back to hotel in night = 80 minutes
Mira Costa: 3 minutes to get into park in morning, 3 minutes to get back, 3 minutes to go back at night, 3 minutes to come back at night = 12 minutes
