Hilton Tokyo Bay vs Mira Costa is a legitimate question. Because right now, as you say, I don't get it. I don't get the value of Disney hotels. But obviously I'm seriously looking into it (post #13) and trying to get some insights that might justify this cost difference in my mind.
Couple things: 1) Mira Costa guests have a special entrance into the park and they are allowed into the park 15 minutes before all other guests. Not sure what 15 minutes is worth to you but that should be good for at least 1/2 extra rides. 2) You get complimentary use of the Disney Monorail.
