This is similar to Hilton Hawaiian Village vs Aulani, which comes up every year in our family. So far, I've been able to stand my ground and hold off Aulani.
These comments prove that you just don't "get it", so nothing else that I could say would convince you otherwise. Though I do think it kind of selfish of you to get your own way over your family each and every year...
