SPG - You can transfer AMEX MR into SPG when they do the 50% transfer bonus at a 2:1 ratio. That's a lot worse than the Hyatt ratio but SPG also has the CC in which one can manufacture a ton of points through sign-up bonuses, referral bonuses, family transfers, and manufactured spend.
That was my pt SPG as UA have slashed the different ways that folks were able to transfer in pts on the cheap. So if Hyatt was at all interested in being tight fisted they wouldnt have done a 1:1 with Chase UR
Sign up bonuses are suppose to be dead with SPG Amex, as its suppose to now be a 1 time occurrance and no more churning. Of cause Im sure folks will find ways around that, as have family transfers also been changed
I guess as Hyatt now is appealing to the masses it had to increase its appeal.
