As soon as I finished the required spend, the new status was reflected in my account. Now maybe it was a coincidence that the status just showed after my spend was completed... I don't know. My status changed to Plat w/o even spending a $1 using the new Hyatt CC. I got the CC back in June and didnt cross the $1k line till early last week. Wanted to keep the possibility of using the 2 nights for next summer if I so wanted
