Who cares where he bought the ticket, if it has an AC PNR, its booked into one of those fare classes why would the system refuse it?
This was my thought, but why would they specifically say ACV on the AC website.

with no mention of ACV.
So I'm assuming that it should work, just questioning whether I really want to leave the request until checkin to save the $160 difference to Flex.
