Was told by a reader it took him 20 days to receive his match after he sent his info via email. And they never even replied. There must be a waitlist of sorts.
Emailed them exactly 20 days ago and checked my account today. It now says Gold but it is only valid until 12/2015... which would be of no use to me as 2015 travel is already booked and not on Star. Someone mentioned that this could be a challenge but I have not received any notification on the requirements.
This was matching my Etihad Gold btw.
