No, I'm not going to send a message which most likely ends up nowhere and I want to book a higher grade room rather than the one I first went with...
Any ideas?
This is a bit OT but related to cancellation problems anyway:
I needed to make some changes to one of my bookings so I cancelled it and decided to make a new one later on.
I managed to cancel my booking without any problems and received by email a cancellation confirmation stating that the cancellation is free of charge up to three days prior arrival (and it’s actually more than three months till the stay now).
Then happened something weird: a manager from the hotel emailed me and wanted to make sure I have cancelled my booking. He warned me that the hotel will charge the deposit from my CC in case I really wanted to cancel.
After a couple of emails, I finally got my new booking done and they didn't charge the deposit but the manager had decided that the new booking is now non-modifiable and non-cancellable, plus payment in advance is required.
The manager ended the email by saing: We hope that the sales condition is clear now.
It hasn’t been unclear for me since the beginning. I have followed the sales condition properly IMO.
When I now go to LCAH’s booking site, this hotel is selling the same product that I booked as cancellable and payment is at hotel. Also the manager said that this package I have normally require a minimum of 7 nights but they now make an exception for me.
This sounds like a lie since the hotel is selling this package for 6 nights stays, too.
Can’t say I’m impressed about the first interaction with this property. And yeah, it's Sofitel Bali Nusa Dua.
