Hi! I am a new member here. I have applied for the Signature card couple of weeks back. The card is on it's way today. I was trawling through this forum and I am amazed about how much knowledgeable people in this forum are. Just thought of introducing myself and saying hi!

My experience with the application process was seamless. I read about this card on livefromalounge blog and decided to apply for it since I already have the lowest tier Flying Returns membership. I applied online through the Sbicard website and they sent a person to collect three documents within 2 days of applying. The documents that were collected included address proof, front copy of an existing credit card (Amex is not valid) and at least one month's credit card statement. The verification call came 4 days after the documents were collected. There was regular SMS communication from SBI regarding application status - I liked this. I am waiting for the card today - BlueDart status shows Out for Delivery.

I am not sure if I will get any upgrade vouchers or the faux leather holder that people in the forum have been talking about. I will keep you posted.

I have Burgundy status with Qatar Airways so I am hoping to get Silver Status on FR program. Do you have any recommendations - should I wait for some time and use my card first, and only then apply for status transfer, or should I send the scanned copy of membership card and Qmiles statement right away?
