I remember reading somewhere that TYP earned from this promo aren't taxable. I can't remember why, but it might be because the total value of the points is estimated at $400 (1c each). Doesn't a bonus have to be valued >$600 to get a 1099? I know the 30K AA miles are valued at 2c each, so that's estimated at $600.
