Return ny to Florida
I want to skip the middle flight Washington, D.C. to ny ( meeting friends and car to ny)
Can I just check in online then not take dc to ny flight? Or do I need to go to airport and have boarding pass scanned at gate (then just go away and not get on plane?
Trying to avoid the $200 change fee
The only two ways to do what you are trying to do: Call AA and remove the segment and pay $200 + any fare differences. Abandon the ticket in Washington DC and then aquire a new ticket NY to Florida (buy or miles). You will have the remaining value (if any) of you original ticket minus $200 change fee, given back in a voucher.
