Exactly.
While I am not big on betting in the sports books (my NCAA gambling mainly remains relegated to the office pool), many other people love to bet in Vegas on the NCAA's. None-the-less, I always seem to have some reason to go to Vegas in March every year (bachelor party, birthdays, etc...). From past experience, the first weekend of the tournament always seems to be the busiest, followed by the Final 4. If you look at the hotel rates for the weekend of 3/21 - 3/23 (first weekend of the tournament), they are higher than most other weekends this time of year. Simply a case of supply and demand.
