I was at LV departing United yesterday. At 8:00 AM, the lines for the ticket counter started outside in the roadway. Each airline had a setup with cones in the roadway making a maze for people waiting. At the head of the outside line, you entered the terminal to join the inside maze to reach the ticket counter. Waiting time was 2-3 hours depending. 1st Class and 1K, 1P etc line was empty and made check in easy (what a benefit!). Security had no line and was almost too simple...

From talking with UA staff, last weekend was the same, except the wait for security was longer.
