Weird how that happens especially on a batch of cards that were purchased together. I learned my lesson though, was used to buying giftcards and going straight to Kate to unload now I'll just buy the gift cards and wait till next day to unload. Just never really liked the idea of having the gift cards with me for more than a few hours.
After I lost 3 months with a US VGC fraud dpt. I call, change the PIN to a friendly one and unload. If I had to keep US bank card I would register it online (still not 100% protection) and change the PIN over the phone.
