Well when I made my application in the last week of April - I had come across something similar - In an online application form - I was unable to find a column where I can add my existing AI-FFP number to which I wanted the SBI Card linked.

I let the things go as it is - and in less than 3 weeks I received the SBI Signature Card with a new AI-FFP number

Same day I called up the toll free 1860### of SBI and requested the AI-FFP number to be changed to the older one - 5 days (Trust me it was flat 5 days, m still surprised/shocked) I got my new SBI CC with same number, CVV, expiry and my old AI-FFP number on it...!!

So wait n watch about how things unfold
