I just applied for my SBI card online here

I am unsure if the process changed .. because I got the below message after submitting my application online:
Congratulations! Your application reference no.xxxxx for SBI Air India SBI Signature Card application has been approved* in principle with a credit limit of Rs. Rs.xxx. The final credit limit assigned would be subject to submission of requisite documents & their verification. In order to process your application we require the following documents. Please keep them ready & we will get in touch with you shortly.

Based on user experience on this thread .. I assumed I would have to wait a couple of days to know the status of my application and then a couple of weeks for the card status. Anyways, fingers crossed.

Question to ponder: Other users mentioned that they were asked for the existing AI FFP number (if they have one) in the application form. I was surprised to not find that question in the online form. Unsure if the online application form does not ask for it (or) if the process has changed and SBI no longer asks for it all ??!!

Note: I shall keep updating my application process' timeline to give other users an idea of the current process (as of June 2015)

Timeline:

• 21st June 2015 - Applied for card via SBI online portal
• 21st June 2015 - Application approved in principle w/ an initial CL; Documents to be collected
• 22nd June 2015 - Verification call (Agent is supposed to collect required documents tomorrow i.e. 23rd June)
• 23rd June 2015 - Agent called on time, came to my place to collect required docs (Id + address proof) <said I would receive another verification call in 2-3 days time>
• 24th June 2015 - Received verification call at around 11am, requested a call back later. Received call back at 3pm, where every single detail provided by me was cross-verified. This is the point were I requested them to link the card with my existing AI FFP number and not create a new AI FFP account
• 25th June 2015 - Received yet another verification call; but since I couldn't attend, I had to wait another day
• 26th June 2015 - Received that verification call again (realized it was for address verification). I was put on a conference call with the ground agent and address verification successfully completed (ETA on card : 10-15 days from day of verification call :: fingers crossed)
• 28th June 2015 - Received an SMS today morning. My card would be delivered in the next 7 days <fingers crossed>
• 1st July 2015 - Received my SBI AI CC albeit with the wrong AI FR number

• 1st July 2015 - Call up CC and raise a complaint for correct linkage with my existing AI FR number
• 2nd July 2015 - Call up CC for a different issue and realize my request from previous day was not taken at all. Request them to take up the issue and resolve it asap (was promised a new card in 5 days)
• 6th July 2015 - Receive my SBI AI CC with the correct AI FR number ^
