reward flight - which one is easier to modify

Hi,

I am planning to book now for a reward flight in December, I have points for UA, AA and BA, I can book AA flight on BA website or UA flight on United.com..

I have googled and check the wiki pages, however, due to the changes last year, I am not sure whether they are still accurate, hence I am hoping I can confirm here...

It seems that I can make changes on the BA site and the worse scenario will be for me to lose the tax which is about $5...

but it seems that I cannot get around paying the $75 for changes on united.

I hope to know whether the above is still valid....another reason for me to double check is that if I were to use BA point, I will have to fly out of LGA instead of EWR which is closer, but if there is a chance I may have to make the changes, I will just take LGA....

sorry, should have posted which one is easier/cheaper to modify
thanks
