It looks like this is a new thing since I didn't see much searching about it. It seems before that the message would be about the past 6 or 12 months, not 2 years.
What worries me is the fact that they seem to be focusing on the number of cards that you opened, regardless of how many are still open. I wonder if this is their way of cracking down on those of us who keep opening cards, getting a bonus, then closing them when the annual fee comes up. If you had to come up with a way of shutting down us "churners," simply counting the new cards opened would be one of the easiest ways.
