Thanks, that's helpful. So, it sounds like at 8 app's in the last 2 yrs, my wife was even higher than your 6-7. If she waits a month or so, one of her apps will be more than 2 yrs ago, but it doesn't look as it that will help much.
I might take your suggestion and just open a joint acct online.
It would be helpful to get some data points to figure out how many apps is too many. Anyone else want to chime in?
I was surprised because he was actually talking about # of newly opened cards and did not mention credit inquiries at all, which I have over 10 of (since I was declined for some other cards in the past 2 years).
It looks like this is a new thing since I didn't see much searching about it. It seems before that the message would be about the past 6 or 12 months, not 2 years.
