There are only three ways to earn AAdvantage miles with credit cards:

1. Barclays - keep your US Airways credit card which has now been converted to an AA card. Barclays contract with AA does not allow them to accept new applications.

2. American Express - Starwood Preferred Guest credit card earns Starpoints which can be converted 1:1 to many airline programs including AA. If you convert 20,000 Starpoints at one time there is a 25% bonus - 20000:25000. $65 annual fee, 2.7% foreign transaction fee.

3. Citi - Issues co-branded AA cards. Gold, Platinum, Executive and Business. Substantial discussion here:
